Our Franchisees
Cloudy2Clear Franchisees come from every walk of life. If you qualify then we will insist that you speak to some of our existing Franchisees before you join to let you get an idea of how the business works. This is an integral part of our recruitment process as we only want people who are going to fit into our team successfully so we can all move forward together and benefit from one anothers experience.
Hopefully you'll be speaking to them soon, but in the meantime here's a flavour of what they have to say about the Cloudy2Clear business opportunity...

I have never run my own business before but always wanted to. I was most impressed with the concept of C2C and the support structure of the C2C Franchise and it was this that encouraged me to 'take the plunge.' From a standing start the phone began to ring and each month the business got busier to the extent that I had to employ more fitters as the turnover increased. It definitely helped having the franchise experts involved to launch my business. They did so with a comprehensive PR and advertising campaign which proved to me that advertising in the right medium works for this business. I am delighted that customers have come back for more work and recommended my business to friends and families. The best form of advertising. Customers have had one unit replaced or twenty plus. My business is professionally run with time served glaziers in uniforms arriving in sign written vans who turn up when they should. I find that my customers are amazed that they deal with a company who keeps it's promises!

I had had a very successful career working in estate agency but decided after bringing up my three children that I actually wanted to commit to running my own business for the first time. I started in January 2006 with one fitter and one van having bought two adjoining areas for synergy. I now employ four fitters and have four vans running the two areas. I often get feedback from my customers that the fitters are professional right through from survey to glazing. My vans really stand out on the roads and encourage prospective customers to ring the freephone number for more quotes. I think the fact that the fitters work for a double glazing company which is saving my customers money makes a big difference to them – it certainly does to me!

The business concept of C2C is fantastic. The first year was a steady one, due partly to the fact that I had a lot to learn about running my own business, but things are now moving along rapidly. I think the most important aspect I've learnt is how important it is to get the marketing right.
I have to say though that new initiatives from Head Office to support us and new Franchisees coming on board are very encouraging. It's great to feel part of a larger team and the knowledge and experience we pass amongst each other, through the management team, makes a big difference.

It’s a great business, simple with a high demand for our services. As soon as the first advert was placed the phone started ringing with potential customers. It is hard work, particularly in the first twelve months and like any business it does take time to get established. We are now seeing the benefits of that in our second year with the number of existing customers coming back to us for more windows and an increase in our referrals. As the franchise grows and we get more people on board we will get national brand awareness and then our business will really take off...

Perhaps the most positive life-changing decision I have made was to purchase a Cloudy2Clear Franchise, having considered numerous other franchises prior to this. When I heard of this through a friend, I thought, "what a terrific concept", as I had 5 failed units in my own house. Now 3 years into my new venture, I have had to employ a fitter as business is growing day by day. Customers constantly remark on the image of the company, with the uniform, overshoes, van and professional approach, and they can't believe the cost savings by having JUST THE GLASS replaced rather than the whole window. With Head Office driving the business forward, I am now within touching distance of the kind of lifestyle I was confident this would bring me.

Having previously worked as a welder and having my life ruled by the dreaded bell which told us when to have our breaks I'd known for some time that I wanted to take control of my own future. After a lot of research Cloudy2Clear seemed to offer me the support I knew I'd need as I'd never been anywhere near running my own business before.
I spoke to the existing Franchisees but what really clinched it for me was doing my own market research. I just couldn't believe the amount of failed double glazing in the area from the house next door right up to my local Aldi.
Since I got started the demand has been phenomenal and as for the job itself, well, everyday feels like a friday!

I started my business in early 2009 - at the height of the recession. As I have a background in the glazing industry I had a good idea that the business would show promise as I'd seen failed double glazing again and again. With the economic climate as it was I planned to give myself a good 2 years to get established as I knew things would be tight at first but I have to say things took off quicker than anyone could have imagined.
Within the first few weeks I was really struggling to keep up with demand - the phone just kept ringing! The guys at Head Office were great and really helped me cope as I have to admit at times it was a bit overwhelming. 1 year in it seems the economy is on the upturn and I'm seeing my business go from strength to strength only now I'm much better at planning my jobs and seeing my profits improve every month. And people said no-one in Northern Ireland would ring an 0800 number. How wrong could they be!
